Make Calls From Any Device

You don’t need a separate mobile for each staff member. Give them a Teams Phone licence, assign a number, and let them make and take calls through the Teams app instead.

Integrate Copilot Into Your Meetings

Meetings should be a way to quickly exchange information and work through problems.

But, often, they end up creating extra work – frantic note-taking, follow-up emails, missed agenda items.

365 Copilot eliminates that work by acting as your virtual assistant.

It automatically records and transcribes calls that you choose, highlighting key points, creating action items, and quickly surfacing the information you need.

And, with in-environment processing, you don’t need to worry about data being leaked outside of your 365 tenancy.

Add Voice to Microsoft Teams

Modern voice isn’t limited to one device or one location.

With Teams Phone, your team can make and take calls from anywhere in the world, on any Teams-compatible device.

A call received on mobile can be transferred to a laptop, then forwarded to a colleague – all with just a few clicks.

Teams Phone also includes all the features you’d expect from a modern PBX system: call queues, auto-attendants, hunt groups, and your choice of carrier through direct routing or Operator Connect.

You can even eliminate redundant mobile plans through Teams Phone Mobile.

Find out how switching to a Teams-based phone system can help your people operate at their best.

Microsoft Teams FAQs

Does Teams automatically include telephony?

No, it doesn’t. You’ll need to add Teams Phone Standard to your Microsoft 365 licence for specific users (unless you’re on a 365 E5 subscription, in which case Teams Phone is included).

How do I stop Teams from opening on startup?

  1. If you’re using Windows 11, press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC on your keyboard to open Task Manager.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click ‘Startup Apps’ (the gauge icon).
  3. Find Microsoft Teams in the list of apps.
  4. Right-click on its ‘Enabled’ status.
  5. From the popup that appears, click ‘Disable’.

Teams will no longer open on startup. Keep in mind that, if you’re using Teams for telephony, you probably want it to open upon startup – otherwise, you won’t receive calls until you manually open the app.

Can Teams record and transcribe my meetings?

Yes, it can. As long as you have recording enabled in your organisational settings, you can select ‘Record and transcribe’ in any meeting.

Can you help my organisation set up Teams Phone Mobile?

Yes, we can. Teams Phone Mobile (TPM) is, for some businesses, a great alternative to Teams Phone Standard.

Rather than having one mobile number for Teams and another for your mobile service, TPM combines both. If someone calls your TPM number, you can answer it on either your native mobile or your Teams app. Importantly, other people in your organisation can pick up your mobile calls if you’re busy – and you’ll have access to Teams-native features (like call recording, unified call history, and a shared voicemail) on every call.

Adopting TPM means you can eliminate redundant mobile numbers, stop calls and texts falling through the gaps, and unify all your communications in one, central platform. That makes it ideal for larger organisations with hybrid workforces.

Can I use my existing carrier with Teams Phone?

It depends on how you want to set up Teams Phone. If you opt for direct routing, we can connect a custom session border controller (SBC) to any Australian carrier.

If you choose Operator Connect, though, you’ll be restricted to carriers listed in Microsoft’s Operator Directory. As of December 2025, the directory contains 25 carriers, including Telstra and Vodafone.
